ALICE COOPER Drummer GLEN SOBEL To Appear On New ORIANTHI Single

ALICE COOPER drummer Glen Sobel has tracked drums at a Los Angeles studio for his Cooper bandmate Orianthi's new single, entitled "Frozen". A short video of the session can be viewed below. Her new record, produced by Dave Stewart of EURYTHMICS fame, is due on Febuary 26. This marks the second full-length release from Orianthi and is the follow-up to her five-song EP, "Fire", released last year. The Australian guitarist scored a top 20 single with "According To You", off her Geffen Records 2010 debut entitled "Believe".

In other news, Glen Sobel will participate in the Bonzo NAMM jam Thursday, January 24 at the Observatory Theater in Anaheim, California along with 30 other drum luminaries. That same night Sobel will also make an appearance at the Evans / D'Addario NAMM party held at the Hilton Hotel in Anaheim where he will be playing alongside Joey Belladonna (ANTHRAX),Alex Skolnick (TESTAMENT),and Chris Wyse (THE CULT). Other guest drummers that night include Gene Hoglan (TESTAMENT),Charlie Benante (ANTHRAX),Brann Dailor (MASTODON),among others.
